Washable wax crayons from Jar Melo, in an easy-to-hold shape made for small hands that are still learning to control a drawing tool. They have the same silky feel as the rest of the range, so colour lays down smoothly rather than having to be forced onto the page, and they are washable and non-toxic. Compared with the twistable version, these are straightforward wax crayons: nothing to twist and nothing mechanical to break, which is why a large box makes sense for a household where crayons get lost, shared and worn down to stubs.
