Brand and product details
Greenbean's Nature Survival Kit gathers the three things a child actually reaches for outdoors into one box. There are 4X 32mm binoculars with coated glass lenses, a sensitive focus knob, a rubber-covered body and a safety neck strap; a wrist compass that gives a precise bearing reading; and a palm-sized torch on a handy wrist strap. A carrying pouch and an instruction manual are included. Greenbean lists it for 8 years and up, and the item measures 36 x 22 x 7 cm. The torch takes 1 AA battery, which is not supplied. Compared with buying the binoculars on their own, this is the version for a child who wants to find their way and keep exploring once the light goes, rather than only to look at things far away, and having all three pieces in one pouch is the difference between a kit that gets taken on a hike and one that stays in a drawer.
